About The ADDITIONAL LEARNING Needs

This department is a special section in TIS school where children with learning challenges such as ADHD, ADD, Autism and other related mild not severe disabilities are attended to specially on a one on one arrangement.(ABA- Applied Behavioral Analysis).

Various methods are applied after a proper accessment of the child’s cognitive level has been conducted to asertain the child’s strength and weaknesses and an IEP(Individualized Education Plan) developed to address the child’s area of need for proper integration into the mainstream.

Also, for the ones that have shown considerable improvement to fit into the classroom are provided with a shadow as a guide in the classroom based on agreed arrangement.

In special needs, every child is first and foremost, a child. The need is just an aspect of the child’s behavior that if not attended to early enough, transcends into a character. Therefore, acceptance is the key towards finding a lasting solution to a need.
